St Paul over NS

St. Paul's Wolves tallied early and often last night rolling past the Northshore Panthers 17-2 in District 6-5A action on the strength of three-run homers by Handsome Monica, an Arizona commitment, and Hunter Romero. Bradley Yaeger delivered an RBI double and Tyler St. Philip banged a two-run single top put the Wolves up 6-0 in the first inning following Monica's 3-run blast. The Wolves notched another run in the second and Northshore answered with a single run in the bottom half to make it 7-1. Northshore's Hunter Campbell drove home Dane Pederson with a fielder's choice ground out. Northsore's Parker Morris tripled in the third inning and scored on a Pederson RBI single. St. Paul's led 9-2 entering the fourth inning before exploding for 8 runs to put the game away. The Wolves sent 11 hitters to the plate with Romero going 2-2 with his three-run blast and a single as St. Paul's rolled. St. Paul's 3-1 in District 6-5A play hosts the Covington Lions tonight at 6:30.
