Highschool Soccer

In local high school soccer action, Northshore's Dario Cutura broke through 
for two goals following a hard-fought scoreless tie at the half, leading the 
Panthers to a 2-0 victory over the Slidell Tigers. Northshore goal keeper 
Larry Newby was the winning keeper with five saves, while Matt Smith was 
named the Panthers' top defender. Northshore, 16-4-2 and 10-3 in District 
6-I play close out their regular season today at the Covington High Fighting 
Lions. In last night's girls match, Northshore Lady Panthers won their match 2-1.
