Boston Red Sox snare 2013 World Series

 Boston treated their frenzied hometown Fenway Park fans to a major celebration last night with
the Red Sox taking game six of the 2013 World Series, rolling past the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1.
Shane Victorino was the Red Sox hitting star driving in four runs, which included a bases loaded triple
in the bottom of the third inning, which provided Boston with the momentum.  Boston starter
 John Lackey was terrific, giving up just one run en route to the victory.
Thirty-seven year old David Ortiz, affectionately referred to as "Big Papi," garnered the World Series MVP, winning a brand new truck. During a post game interview, Ortiz, said, "I'm Back."
In last night's World Series clinching victory, Ortiz was walked twice intentionally, but it backfired both times as he scored.
Ortiz hit a blistering .688 with two homers and six runs batted in. He finished 11-for-17 and also scored seven runs.

The 2013 World Series action resumes tonight in Boston as the Red Sox host the St. Louis
Cardinals holding a three game to two advantage and can close things out with a victory. Boston
took game five 3-1 Monday night at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
The Red Sox will start veteran John Lackey, 0-1, with a 3.68 earned run average in the Series.
St. Louis will counter with youngster Michael Wacha, who is 1-0 with a 3.0 ERA. A main
obstacle in Wacha's way will be having to deal with Boston's red hot David Ortiz, who is 11-for-15 in
the Series, batting an amazing .733. Ortiz, who has been nearly unstoppable to this point, went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Game five. Big Papi will return to his designated hitter role tonight with the game back in the American League ballpark at Fenway. Boston's Mike Napoli will start at first base and give the Red Sox another good stick.

Boston ace John Lester wins second World Series game

 The Boston Red Sox gained the upper hand last night in the 2013 World Series earning a 3-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
Boston's David Ortiz continued his torrid streak, going 3-for-4 with a run batted in as the Red Sox took a 3 game to 2 advantage with the Series returning to Fenway Park Wednesday for game six.
Ortiz, who has been unstoppable, has 11 hits in 15 plate appearances as the St. Louis staff has
not had an answer for him at the plate. Ortiz, who started at first base, will return to his normal designated hitter role as the Series returns to the American League park tomorrow for game six. Boston's Mike Napoli will start at first instead of Ortiz, which gives the Bo Sox another stick in the lineup.
Boston ace John Lester picked up his second World Series victory, in a sterling performance, tossing 7.2 innings. He surrendered just one run, a solo one-out homer in the fourth inning, which tied the game at 1-1 after Boston tallied a run in the top of the first inning. Lester registered seven strikeouts without walking
anyone. Koji Uehara was masterful in relief, retiring four batters with two strikeouts, recording his second Series save.
St. Louis ace Adam Wainwright pitched well, but he was tagged with his second Series loss,
giving up three runs on eight hits, registering 10 strikeouts.
