Salmen rolls

The Salmen Lady Spartans continued their mastery over opponents flirting with the century mark rolling past St. Scholastica Academy 97-19. Megan Brown spearheaded the Lady Spartans' attack with 23 points and five assists. Salmen upped its record to 23-1 and reamined unbeaten at 4-0 in district play. Salmen's Tiara Warren netted 19 points with seven steals and seven assists. Kalani Brown registered another outstanding effort with a double-double, scoring 17 points with 10 rebounds. She also dominated inside posting six blocks with five steals.

Salmen Lady Spartans down Mandeville in tournament play


Salmen's Lady Spartans talented duo of Kalani and Megan Brown, no relation, continued to dominate as they sparked their team to a 61-43 victory over the Mandeville Lady Skippers Saturday in the Hahnville Tournament. Megan Brown, A USM signee, topped Salmen, dropping in 21 points with two assists, two steals and two blocks, while Kalani Brown, registered a strong double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Kalani also dominated the paint recording eight blocks wioth three steals. Deja Starks chipped in with eight points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Mandeville's Elise Reilly and Jasmyn Menina netted 16 points each for the Lady Skippers. In Thursday action, Mandeville edged Ellender 53-49 in double overtime led by Reilly with 21 points four rebounds, three assists and two blocks followed by Leah Sulzer with 19 points and nine rebounds including four on the offensive end.

Salmen Lady Spartans roll past Northshore led by the Brown's

The Salmen Lady Spartans off to a quality 3-0 start turned in an exceptional offensive performance blowing past the Northshore Lady Panthers 85-22 at home last night sparked by Kalani Brown's double-double with 25 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks. Megan Brown, a recent USM signee, also delivered, pouring in 24 points with seven boards. Hailey Pichon added a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Tiara Warren also netted double figures with 10 points and seven steals. Northshore's Kennedy Harrison, Kayla Klepfer and Kacie Fountain each scored five points for the Lady Panthers.
