Saints Gearing Up

NFL teams including our beloved New Orleans Saints are gearing up in training camp as the Black and Gold fan base anxiously awaits the start of the season still with a lingering, bitter taste in their mouths. The fans had to endure a disappointing, frustrating 7-9 season last year. Head coach Sean Payton is back at the helm and new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is in the fold, working on retooling the Saints' porous defense, which had the dubious distinction of allowing the most yardage ever in NFL history. The Saints open the preseason Friday Aug. 9th, hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in the Mercedes-Benz Super Dome followed by another home tilt hosting the Oakland Raiders Aug. 16. The Saints close out the preseason with two road games against the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins before kicking off the regular season Sunday September 8, hosting the arch-rival, Dirty Birds from Atlanta.
