Archbishop Hannan vying for LHSAA Division III state title

The Archbishop Hannan Hawks, 11-2, are making their first ever appearance in a football state
championship game doing battle with No. 2 seed Calvary Baptist this Thursday for the Division
III state title in the Superdome. The game kicks off at 12:30 and the Lake will be on hand providing championship game coverage. The Hawks, the No. 4 seed, earned the right to advance by edging previously unbeaten No. 1 seed Episcopal 12-7 in the semifinal game. Calvary Baptist secured its spot in the championship game advancing with a 34-33 victory over Catholic of New Iberia.
