Tulane Green Wave extends head coach Curtis Johnson's contract through 2020

Tulane Green Wave head coach Curtis Johnson inks contract extension through 2020.

The Tulane Green Wave, which has accepted a bid to participate in the upcoming R+L Carriers New
Orleans Bowl in the Superdome, has extended second-year head coach Curtis Johnson's contract
through 2020. Johnson has led the Green Wave to a 7-5 record and their first bowl appearance
since 2002, after a dismal 2-10 campaign last season. Johnson, 52, the former wide receivers'
coach for the New Orleans Saints, is the 39th Green Wave head coach. Johnson becomes the 10th
Tulane coach in school history to lead the Green Wave to a bowl game.  The Green Wave will square off with the University of Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns.
