Wade Miley delivers quality start

Arizona Diamondbacks' starter Wade Miley, a product out of Southeastern Louisiana
University, pitched eight strong innings last night in a no-decision as the D-Backs edged the
National League Central leading Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2 in a 16-inning marathon.
Miley, 26, a crafty lefty from Hammond, scattered seven hits, giving up just two runs.
Miley registered seven strikeouts with two walks. Miley is 9-8 this season in 25 starts with a
3.56 earned run average. He has allowed 153 hits in 156 and two-third inning with 117 strikeouts and opponents are hitting .259 against him.
Miley has a 29-21 Major League record with a 3.54 ERA in 61 career starts and four relief
appearances. He has pitched 391 and a third innings at the Major League level.
Miley made his major league debut Aug. 20 in 2011. He finished 16-11 last year and was sixth
in the National League for total victories.    
Arizona is 64-58 overall and trail the N. L. West leading L. A. Dodgers by 7.5 games.
