The New Orleans Pelicans, 1-2, broke their two game losing streak and poured it on downing the
Charlotte Bobcats 105-84 Saturday at the Arena before a crowd of 15,232 behind Anthony Davis'
25 points and eight rebounds. Davis set a career high with six blocks turning away the Bobcats in
the paint. Davis has scored over 20 points in each of the Pelicans first three games as he
continues to assert himself offensively. Guard Tyreke Evans broke out of a 0-14 shooting slump and
finished with 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting. Jrue Holiday added 14 points with eight assists
in Saturday's victory. In Friday night's road game, the Pelicans came up short falling to the Orlando Magic 110-90 despite a tremendous double-double by Davis, who poured in 26 points with 17 rebounds, which
included eight on the offensive end in the loss. Jrue Holiday contributed 17 points with five assists. The Pelicans host the Phoenix Suns tomorrow night with tip off set for 7 o'clock.
