Former Saints coach Bum Phillips passes away
Former Saints' head coach Bum Phillips passed away Friday at his Texas ranch at the age of 90. Phillips posted a 27-42 in his five seasons 1981 to 1985 as the Saints' head coach with his best being 8-8 in 1983. Phillips also coached the Houston Oilers (now the Tennessee Titans), compiling a 55-35 record with two AFC Championship game appearances. His coaching career spanned from 1954 to 1985.
