Southeastern Louisiana University's Lions rolled to an impressive 56-14 Southland Conference opening
victory Saturday over Stephen F. Austin at Strawberry Stadium with quarterback Bryan Bennett on fire. Bennett tossed four touchdown passes, completing 13-of-20 attempts for 337 yards. The junior QB also rushed for 72 yards and scored once on a 53 yard run followed by a Seth Sebastian extra point to put the Lions up 7-0 on their initial drive. SLU, 4-2, travels to Northwestern State this week for a Saturday encounter.
