On the local volleyball scene,
Northshore's Lady Panthers downed Covington 25-14, 25-23, 25-14, moving to 6-1 in district
play and 9-9 overall. NHS' Kacie Brandt delivered 11 kills, while Hailey Kirkpatrick finished with 9 kills and 17 digs. Hannah Epperley netted 22 assists and Adora Anadi added three blocks.
Covington's Madison Larocca totaled six kills, while Cassie Saurage pulled up 15 digs and Douglisha Hamilton had four blocks.
Mandeville downed Ponchatoula, 25-16, 20-25, 25-14, 25-19 led by Caroline Haase with 17 kills. Sam Gomez added nine kills followed by Marissa LeCompte with six and three blocks. Sarah Rinaudo had 31 assists with four aces.
Northlake Christian School, 20-8, topped St. Thomas Aquinas 17-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-20 led by Lexie
White's 10-kills, 5 blocks and 5 aces. Miranda Walls posted 9 kills, 5 blocks and 4 aces.
SSA, 17-9,3-1 in district, topped East Jefferson, 25-15, 25-12, 25-9. Maddie Morse recorded 9 kills, 3 digs and 2 aces. Natalie Helm came through with 7 kills and 3 blocks, while Gabby Chaix added 7 kills. Emma Estapa finished with 34 assists, 6 digs and 4 aces.
