Pelicans down OKC for fifth straight win

The New Orleans Pelicans took their unbeaten record on the road last night and came away with
a hard fought 105-102 victory over the Oklahoma Thunder.
New Orleans, 5-0 in the preseason, returns to the court Saturday, facing the Washington Wizards
on the road in a 7 o'clock start.
The Pelicans' often injured shooting guard Eric Gordon returned to the lineup and sparked the
charge with 21 points. Gordon played just under 21 minutes, hitting 6-of-9 shots from the field
and clicked on 2-of-3 from behind the 3-point arc to lead the way.
Brian Roberts finished with 14 points, scoring 12 in the second half, including the go-ahead
jumper with 30.6 seconds to play. The Pels outscored the Thunder 26-21 in the final quarter
to earn the victory.
The Pelicans continued to balance the scoring sheet with five players netting double figures.
Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson chipped in with 18 points each, while Davis added six rebounds,
two blocks and two steals. Al-Farouq Aminu recorded a double-double for the Pels with 12
points and 10 caroms. 
The Thunder's Kevin Durant led all scorers with 25 points, clicking on 3-of-6 trey attempts with
six rebounds. He played 32 minutes, but didn't play in the fourth quarter.
The Pelicans' defense forced 21 turnovers, while New Orleans committed just 13 en route to the
3-point victory. Oklahoma City out rebounded New Orleans 40-33 with both clubs pulling down nine
offensive rebounds.
