Saints' nose tackle Bunkley out with calf injury

Saint' starting nose tackle Brodrick Bunkley suffered a calf injury in the team's 23-17
opener Sunday in the Dome. Bunkley, a key cog in the Saints' 3-4 scheme, is expected to miss
several weeks due to the injury according to NFL.com.
Bunkley, 29, 6-2, 306, is an eight-year veteran out of Florida State.
Bunkley was replaced by rookie John Jenkins, a third-round pick out of Georgia. Jenkins goes
6-3, 359 pounds.
Saints' QB Drew Brees and rookie wide receiver Kenny Stills have been nominated for NFL weekly
awards following the Saints opening win over Atlanta.
Brees is in the running for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week along with Denver's
Peyton Manning and San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick.
Brees clicked on 26-of-35 passes for 357 yards with two touchdowns.
Stills is being considered for the NFL Rookie of the Week after catching two passes for 86 yards
against the Falcons with one completion going for 67 yards. Stills is competing against New
Jets' QB Geno Smith, San Francisco's DB Eric  Reid, Buffalo's QB EJ Manuel and Miami kicker
Caleb Sturgis.
The Saints travel to Tampa Bay this week and battle the Bucs in a 3:05 contest Sunday.
