Mandeville senior QB Glen Cuiellette receives weekly honor

Mandeville senior quarterback Glen Cuiellette has been named  a Times Picayune Northshore Athlete of the Week selected for his performance last week, helping to lead the Skippers to a 56-7 victory
over the visiting Slidell Tigers. Cuiellette tossed five touchdown passes and also rushed the ball 11 times for 75 yards with a rushing tally.
The Skippers' offensive line, coached by Daniel Camp, a former Mandeville High offensive lineman, is doing a good job offering Cuiellette protection. Cuiellette has passed for 1,648 yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
He has also rushed for 344 yards with five scores, which is second behind rushing team leader senior James Treuting, who has picked up 481 yards with four TDs.
According to Mandeville high head coach Guy LeCompte, defensive coordinator Harl Penton has the Skippers' Rogue defense playing good football.
Mandeville, 6-2, is tied with Covington, Ponchatoula and St. Paul's for the District 6-5A lead all at 4-1. The Skippers host the 3-5  Northshore Panthers Friday night at Sidney Theriot Stadium.
