PJP II tops NCS in volleyball

Pope John Paul II downed Northlake Christian School, 18-25, 25-21, 25-19-25-20 yesterday to
capture the District 3, Division IV title. PJP II is 7-0 in district and 23-10 overall, while NCS stands at 23-9 and 4-2 in district. PJP II freshman Marlena Cutura posted an outstanding effort downing 18 kills and pulled up 21 digs to lead the Lady Jags. Bailie Maillet connected for 48 assists and served five aces, while.
Milayne Danna finished with 24 digs and Allison Hartman added two blocks.
NCS' Miranda Walls knocked down 11 kills with six aces and four blocks. Maddy Rouyer registered 10 kills, 39 digs and three blocks, while Hannah Seale recorded nine kills with 38 digs and five aces.  Congratulations to the Lady Jags' players and their coach Earl Gervais along with his coaching staff on winning the district crown.
