LSU ranked No. 12 in AP preseason poll

The Associated Press announced its preseason poll and the LSU Fighting Tigers find themselves
outside of the Top 10 looking in at No. 12. The Bayou Bengals, 10-3, last season kickoff the
season Aug. 31 on the road, squaring off with TCU, which is ranked No. 20 in the AP preseason
poll.
Alabama, the defending National Champion, is ranked No. 1 in overwhelming fashion followed by
Ohio State and Oregon with Stanford ranked No. 4.
The SEC dominated the next three top 10 positions with the Georgia Bulldogs nailing down
the No. 5 slot followed by the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Texas A & M Aggies. Clemson is
ranked eighth followed by Louisville and the Florida Gators round out the Top 10.
