Saints edged by Dolphins

The New Orleans Saints didn't get it done last night in Miami being edged 24-21 by the
Dolphins. The Saints failed in their attempt to capture their first ever unblemished preseason
record as they finished 3-1.
The Saints coaching staff now faces the major task of getting down to the NFL mandatory 53
players by Saturday.
Head coach Sean Payton has said all along that it is important to get the best 53 guys.
Drew Brees and a number of other starters didn't play last night. Undrafted rookie quarterback
Ryan Griffin saw the bulk of the action and finished 15-of-31 for 198 yards with a TD and an
interception.
Khirey Robinson made a strong push towards making the 53-man roster gaining 115 yards on 22
carries, but he fumbled twice. He also caught six passes for 53 yards.
Mark Ingram carried nine times for 49 yards with a score.
The Saints were flagged for 11 penalties, totaling 80 yards.
