The Northlake Christian School Wolverines football team held its media/photo day on
Friday. The Wolverines coming off a 5-4 season under head coach Tony Agresta, who is entering
his fifth season, opened their camp Friday on the NCS campus. Agresta said he and the coaching
staff are excited about the upcoming season. "We have a lot senior returners in our skill
spots and that should be beneficial for us." Agresta said the Wolverines are replacing three
out of their five offensive linemen so that will be key. Agresta said he likes the talent level
of his linemen and knows they are up for the challenge. If they can mesh and build on their
potential it should be fun.
Wolverines' senior QB Josh O'Rear, the team's play maker, is back after being named to the
District 8-2A second team offense last year.
O'Rear completed 100-of-181 passes for 1,568 yards with 15 TDs and seven interceptions. The
Wolverines also return senior running back Taylor Mussachia, who rushed for 983 yards and a
team-high 13 touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards per carry.
Coach Agresta credited coach Mark Robert with doing a great job last season as the team's
defensive coordinator.
NCS opens the season September 6th at home, hosting Clark, a 3A school.
