Southeastern Louisiana University's Lions kick off the season this Thursday night at home,
hosting Southeast Missouri in their initial meeting. The Redhawks finished 3-8 last season,
dropping their final three games.
The Lions finished 5-6 last year and head coach Ron Roberts returns for his second season.
Roberts and his coaching staff are excited about the season and feel the Lions have more depth
than last season.
The 2013 edition of the Ron Roberts Radio Show makes its debut tonight at 7 o'clock from Tope
La Catering in Hammond.
The Lake's sister stations, The Joint 104.7 here in Covington and Kajun 107.1 in Hammond will air
the one-hour Coach Ron Roberts show, which is hosted by Allan Waddell. Fans can send their
questions on-line via www.LionSports.net during the weekly "Ask the Coach Segment."
