Archbishop Hannan's Hawks remained unbeaten on the season at 4-0, taking down the Pine Raiders
49-26 in their Homecoming game Friday broadcast on the Lake 94.7.
Hannan returns to district play this week traveling to the 2-2 Pope John Paul II Jaguars.
Hannan, which has moved up in classification, won its District 7-2A opener, sparked by senior
quarterback Korey Zeigler, who turned in a strong performance, hooking up with Daniel
Hollander on three touchdown passes. Zeigler passed for 201 yards, finding Hollander for 8
receptions, covering 110 yards. Zeigler also gained 162 yards rushing. Michael Froeba picked
up tough inside yardage generating 180 yards, while Jason Brooks tallied twice for the Hawks.
Senior Zach Castelluccio was all over the field for the Hawks, registering 11 solo stops. Bruce
DiMartino came through in a big way, recording nine primary tackles, while Roosevelt Smith
added six. Mitchell Morel delivered two sacks and was in on five tackles along with Mason
Caillouet, who finished the night with five individual stops.
