On the local volleyball scene,
Northlake Christian School's Lady Wolverines dropped yesterday's home match to Riverdale, in
a straight set competitive match, 25-19, 25-20, 27-25.
NCS, 6-2, was led by senior Hannah Seale, who delivered a strong all-around performance
with 27 assists, six kills and four aces. Miranda Walla converted nine kills with three
aces and two blocks. NCS travels to Pearl River tomorrow.
Mandeville's Lady Skippers opened district play yesterday, being swept by the Ponchatoula Lady
Green Wave, 25-21, 25-21, 25-20. Caroline Haase topped MHS registering 12 kills. Sam Gomez
contributed eight kills, while Marissa LeCompte chipped in with four. LeCompte and Gomez did a
good job at the net combining for nine blocks led by LeCompte with four turnaways. MHS stands
at 5-9 on the year and takes on Fontainebleau tomorrow.
