In Tuesday high school volleyball action,
the Northshore Lady Panthers coached by Danny Davis picked up its first win of the season
downing Dominican, 16-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21 in a highly competitive match.
After dropping the first set the Lady Panthers got it together and took the next three and
stand at 1-6 following a tough early season schedule, facing defending Division I champion
Mt. Carmel Cubs twice, defending state champ Country Day along with Chapelle and Sacred
Heart.
Northshore's Hailey Kirkpatrick put away a team-high 13 kills and also pulled up 14 digs to
spark the Lady Panthers. Adora Anadi and Kacie Brandt chipped in with nine kills each. Anadi
also came up with three blocks. Jessica DiCharia found her teammates for 31 assists.
Northshore hosts Ursuline this afternoon with the JV match beginning at 4 o'clock followed by
the varsity, scheduled for a 5:30 start.
