Florida State Seminoles cap off unbeaten season; downing Auburn Tigers for BCS national title

The No. 1 ranked Florida State Seminoles capped off their magical 14-0 season last night capturing the Vizio BCS National Championship securing a thrilling 34-31 come-from-behind victory over the Auburn Tigers. Former LSU Tiger offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher helped guide his Seminoles to the promised land. Florida State freshman sensation Jameis Winston, the Heisman Trophy winner, proved his worth, driving the Seminoles down field on their final possession for the dramatic national championship. Florida State's victory stopped an SEC championship run since 2006 as the Alabama Crimson Tide had won the last two BCS titles. Winston, the championship game MVP, connected with six-foot-5-inch Kelvin Benjamin, who made the game-winning catch, out leaping 5-foot-11-inch Chris Davis. Winston clicked on 20-of-35 passes for 237 yards  with two touchdown passes after a slow first half, which found the Seminoles trailing 21-10. Auburn's Nick Marshall passed for 214 yards, connecting on 14-of-27 attempts with two TDs and was picked off once. Auburn's Tre Mason was phenominal in the loss rushing for 195 yards with a touchdown that put the Tigers up 31-27 with 1 minute and 19 seconds remaining setting up Winston's final game-winning drive. Auburn, which finished the season 12-2, had a magical season of their own as they knocked off Alabama when Chris Davis returned a missed field goal 109-yards for a victory, that helped propel the Tigers to the final BCS championship encounter.
