No. 1 ranked St. Scholastica Academy takes on No. 3 Mt. Carmel

In local soccer action, the undefeated and No.1 ranked St. Scholastica Academy Doves, sporting a
10-0 record, travel to New Orleans tomorrow to battle the highly regarded No. 3 ranked Mt.
Carmel Cubs. Mt. Carmel is 8-2-2 entering tomorrow's 1 0'clock match to be played at Pan
American Stadium. Doves' head coach Mike Ortner said he and his team are looking forward to
another quality match with Mt. Carmel. "Typically, it is always a close, highly competitive match when we play each other. We beat them back in 2010 for the Division I state championship and they beat us in 2012 for the title. We have met them in either in the semifinals or finals for the last four years," Ortner said. Ortner said his team's overall defense has been tremendous with senior keeper Elaina Nacari in net. The Doves' defense has only allowed three goals in their 10 games thus far so that has helped set the tone in their
unbeaten 10-0 mark.
