The 12-5 New Orleans Saints took yesterday off and return to practice today as they prepare for their Divisional round game on the road with the 13-3 Seattle Seahawks. The Saints announced yesterday the signing of four-year veteran safety Jordan Pugh. Pugh, a 2010 sixth-round draft choice of the Carolina Panthers, played for the Washington Redskins earlier this season being released in October. Pugh, 5-foot-11, 210-pounds, has 51 career tackles with two interceptions including a pick earlier this season against Denver's Peyton Manning. Saints' linebacker Parys Harrelson suffered a chest injury in the 26-24 wild card victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. A key issue for the Saints this week is the injury to shut down corner back Kennen Lewis, who suffered a concussion like injury against the Eagles, which forced him to the sidelines and he didn't return. The Saints' secondary is already depleted and stressed with the loss of both Jabari Greer and rookie safety Kenny Vaccaro, who are out with season ending injuries.
