2013 Mandeville Skipper Classic closes out today


The 2013 Mandeville Skipper Classic is taking place and closes out with four games today with the action beginning at 3:30. In yesterday's action, the Salmen Spartans remained unbeaten moving to 7-0 with a 61-52 victory over New Iberia. The Spartans will play for the Skipper Classic title tonight at 6:30 going against the Catholic High Bears. In yesterday's action, the host Skippers, defeated Fontainebleau 70-39 with Logan Barragan dropping in 21 points. Skipper first-year head coach Paul Paille said Barrigan dominated inside and outside in the team's victory over the Bulldogs. Hunter Dugas contributed 11 points followed by Nick Peters with nine. The Skippers host the Slidell Tigers tonight at 8 o'clock in the tournament's final game.
