New Orleans Pelicans break four-game road losing streak against Sacramento Kings

The New Orleans Pelicans managed to end a tough, four-game losing streak on a grueling five-game
West Coast road trip Monday night earning a 113-100 victory over the Sacramento Kings. The
Pelicans 12-14 return home tomorrow night hosting the 14-13 Denver Nuggets in a 7 o'clock
tip off in the Arena. Denver downed the Pelicans 102-93 back on Dec. 15 to open the five-game
road trip. In Monday night's victory, the Pelicans placed five players in double figures led by the outstanding play of Tyreke Evans, who poured in a game-high 25 points, clicking on 11-of-12 free throws. Evans also delivered 12 assists with six rebounds and three steals sparking the Pels' victory. Anthony Davis continued his strong play after returning from a hand injury, netting a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds as he connected on 9-of-10 free throw attempts in almost 43 minutes of action. Jrue Holiday also contributed a double-double with 17 points, which included three treys and 10 assists. Eric Gordon, who is battling a hip issue, added 17 points, while Al-Faroug Aminu delivered 13 points with eight rebounds. The Pelicans made 23-of-27 charity tosses finishing at 85.2 percent as a team.
