In local soccer action, the Northlake Christian School Wolverines blanked the Lakeshore Titans 3-0 yesterday behind Trace Knoerr's two goals. Wolverines' freshman Devin Pathoumthong tallied a first half goal assisted by Weston Acosta, who worked the ball in off a corner kick to give NCS a 2-0 halftime advantage. NCS moved to 3-0-1, while Lakeshore slipped to 3-2-1. Both the Wolverines and the Titans will compete in the Copa Acadiana Tournament in Lafayette, playing in the Premier Division, featuring the tournament's top 16 teams.
