Pelicans drop second straight road contest; falling to Golden State 104-93


 The New Orleans Pelicans dropped their second consecutive road game on their west coast road trip falling to the Golden State Warriors 104-93. The 11-12 Pelicans return to action tonight going against former teammate Chris Paul and the L. A. Clippers in a 9:30 start from the Staples Center. Ryan Anderson topped the Pelicans with 21 points and six rebounds including two more three-pointers. Anderson, the team's leading scorer at 21 points per game has been mentioned in trade rumors, but the team is not currently discussing trading the hot-shooting power forward. Anderson is carrying the offensive load with Anthony Davis still sidelined due to a broken bone in his non-shooting hand. The Pelicans placed five players in double figures including Jason Smith with 12 points followed by Jrue Holiday and Austin Rivers netting 11 points each, while Al-Faroug Aminu contributed 10 points with eight rebounds and a blocked shot.
