New Orleans Pelicans trim struggling New York Knicks

Pel's power forward Anthony Davis fractured his left hand in  Sunday's victory over the Knicks.
The New Orleans Pelicans evened their record at 8-8 downing the struggling New York Knicks 103-99 on the strength of Ryan Anderson's game-high 31 points in the absence of power forward Anthony Davis. Anderson clicked on 7-of-11 three pointers to spark the Pelicans' attack, while Davis fractured his left hand playing just 10 and a half minutes, scoring seven points with four rebounds, before incurring the injury. Tyreke Evans contributed 24 points with seven assists and four steals, while Jrue Holiday finished with 11 points, nine assists and five rebounds.  Eric Gordon chipped in with 10 points, three rebounds and three steals as the Knicks slipped to 3-13. The Pelicans connected on 10-of-21 three-point attempts en route to the win. The Pelicans return to action tonight taking on the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
