New Orleans Pelicans trimmed by Golden State Warriors

The New Orleans Pelicans came up short last night at home being edged 102-101 by the Golden
State Warriors in the Arena despite having six players in double figures. There were 12 lead changes and the game was tied nine times with the Warriors holding a 57-49 halftime advantage. The 6-8 Pelicans wasted double-double performances by Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis. Anderson led the way with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Davis finished with 14 points, 11 boards and two blocks. Pels' shooting guard Eric Gordon had an opportunity to win it, but his 3-point attempt rolled around the rim and out as he finished with 16 points and seven assists. Jrue Holiday canned 17 points and added seven assists, while Tyreke Evans added 12 points.
The Pelicans have a few days off before heading to New York Sunday to battle Carmelo Anthony and the struggling Knicks, who are currently 3-10 and in fifth place in the Atlantic Division.
