The Louisiana High School Athletic Association has released the state volleyball playoff
brackets. The bi-district round must be played by Thursday of this week and the Regional round
has to be completed by Monday Nov. 11. The LHSAA State Volleyball Tournament takes place Nov.
14-16 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner.
In Division I, St. Joseph's Academy is the No. 1 seed. In Division I, three St. Tammany Parish
teams have advanced. The undefeated district champion Fontainebleau Lady Bulldogs are the No.
9 seed and hosts No. 24 Chalmette.
No. 12 Northshore hosts No. 21 Acadiana. No. 15 Mandeville hosts their district rival No. 18 Ponchatoula tomorrow afternoon at 4:30.
In Division II, St. Thomas More is seeded No. 1. District champion Lakeshore enters as the No. 2
seed, while St. Scholastica Academy is No. 5. Both the Lady Titans and the Doves have an opening round bye. Salmen, the No. 24 seed, travels to No. 9 Cabrini.
Moving to Division IV, district champion Pope John Paul II, the No. 5 seed earns a bye, while No. 9 Northlake Christian School hosts No. 24 Sophie B. Wright. No. 10 seed Archbishop Hannan hosts No. 23 W. L. Cohen.
In Division V, First Baptist Christian School, the No. 12 seed, hosts No. 21 Crescent City.
