Tulane falls to Florida Atlantic in Conference-USA Play

Tulane's Green Wave squandered a 17-7 halftime advantage Saturday and fell to the Florida
Atlantic Owls 34-17 on the road. Junior quarterback Nick Montana returned to the
Greenies' lineup after being out with a shoulder injury, but it couldn't get it done as he
struggled, completing just 7-of-22 for 71 yards and was picked off three times. Devin Powell,
who replaced Montana during his injury, didn't fair too much better going 4-for-9 for 34 yards
and was picked off once.
Tulane, 6-3, is tied for the Conference-USA lead with Rice and North Texas at 4-1. The Green Wave is on the road this week, taking on the University of Texas at San Antonio, which beat Tulsa 34-15 and is 4-5 on the season.
