Covington Lions basketball team downed by Vandebilt Catholic

 
In high school boys basketball action,  Covington's Fighting Lions went against Vandebilt Catholic and came up short, falling 63-48. Covington's Marcus Hollin dropped in 16 points with five rebounds and four steals. Terrell Chatman finished with eight points and helped control the boards with 14 rebounds. Chatman also added four assists with a block and a steal. Robert Mormon chipped in with nine points for the Lions. Covington, which battled major injuries last season, finished 17-12 and went 6-6 in district, falling to East Ascension in the first round. CHS returns to action today playing St. Thomas Aquinas..
