SLU hosting Nicholls State Colonels in regular season finale

Southeastern Louisiana University, 9-2, winners of eight straight, will celebrate Senior Day tomorrow prior to the Lions' regular season finale hosting the 4-7 Nicholls State Colonels. The 15 Lions' seniors will be recognized about 30 minutes prior to tomorrow night's 6 o'clock kick off.
SLU, which has earned at least a tie for the Southland Conference title, can win the outright title with a victory. The Lions have clinched a spot in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs by virtue of their 34-21 victory over two-time defending conference champion Sam Houston State at Strawberry Stadium. A Lions' victory tomorrow night would greatly enhance the Team's chances of earning a top-eight national seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming playoffs. A win would also set a new school record for wins in a season. Fans are encouraged to bring one non-perishable food item to donate to the Southeastern Food Pantry.
