SLU's Joe Graves named to All-Academic First team

Southeastern Louisiana University sophomore guard Joe Graves, a Covington High grad, has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District 6 Team based on his 3.85 grade point average. He was a first-team selection and will be a candidate for the Academic All-America Teams to be announced Dec. 5. Graves is a key member of the Lions' offensive front, helping SLU to a 38.6 point per game average.  Graves, a main cog in the Lions' offensive front has helped keep defenders off of junior quarterback Bryan Bennett and opened holes for the SLU running backs.
