Tulane edged by University of Texas at San Antonio


The Tulane Green Wave dropped its second straight game, Saturday being edged by the University of Texas at San Antonio, 10-7 in the Alamodome. Yellow flags were the Green Wave's nemesis as Tulane was penalized 14 times for 105 yards including eight false start penalties, which stopped potential drives. Tulane held a 7-0 halftime advantage with Orleans Darkwa scoring on a nine-yard run with a minute remaining. The Roadrunners tied the game in the third quarter on 68-yard run by Brandon Armstrong and the point after. The Roadrunners won it with a last minute 34-yard field goal from Sean Lanno. Tulane, 6-4, is 4-2 in
Conference-USA play. The Greenies have a bye week, before hosting the University of Texas at El Paso Nov. 23 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.  Tulane closes out the regular season with the Rice Owls
