Northshore wins bi-district volleyball match

 


Northshore's Lady Panthers were victorious yesterday opening the Louisiana High School
Athletic Association bi-district playoffs with a sweep over No. 21 Acadiana, winning 25-15, 25-17, 25-21 with a solid performance by Hailey Kirkpatrick, who powered down a team-high 20 kills. Kirkpatrick also generated eight digs and three aces. .
Northshore, coached by Danny Davis, entered the playoffs as the No. 12 seed and advances  to the regional round, traveling to No. 5 St. Amant, who drew a first round bye.
NHS'  Adora Anadi delivered 11 kills followed by Kacie Brandt with nine. Hannah Epperley did a
nice job distributing the ball finishing with 36 assists and added eight digs. Jessica Dicharia
also contributed eight digs for the victorious Lady Panthers.
In Division I bi-district round action today, the No. 15 Mandeville Lady Skippers, host No. 18
Ponchatoula, their district rival. The match takes place this afternoon at 4:30. Mandeville, 19-18 on the year finished third in their district, splitting the two district games with Ponchatoula this season.
Fontainebleau, the No. 9 seed, is hosting No. 24 Chalmette, tomorrow with the bi-district match
set for 5 p.m.
In Division II, the District champion Lakeshore Lady Titans, the No. 2 seed drew a bye, along
with St. Scholastica Academy. The Doves are the No. 5 seed.
In Division IV, Pope John Paul II, the district champ, has a first round bye. No. 9 seed, Northlake Christian School, hosts No. 24 seed, Sophie B. Wright with the match set for tomorrow at 6 o'clock.
No. 10 seed Archbishop Hannan hosts No. 23  W. L. Cohen this afternoon at 5 o'clock.
In Division V, No. 12 seed First Baptist Christian School hosts No. 21 Crescent City.
